DVFriends students are supported and grow in self-confidence and learn to advocate for themselves. They learn they can be a leader. Students have many opportunities open to them. They can start clubs, join teams and fully participate in the community. The purposeful Quaker atmosphere creates a welcoming community that helps students engage and be comfortable with learning in a new way. Teachers partner with students to help them grow now and in the future. Students learn they love to learn again!

we are all products of our experiences and for our students it's so impactful build a database positive experiences in order for our students to their feelings of self-worth to build the resiliency and just progressed as humans a TV friends we want our students to know you're never alone to feel secure that they are supported enough that they can always take risk and view failure is not a step back but I'm past forward before coming here she had answer this downward slide with her emotions with her sense of confidence about her cells and school was just a daily struggle involving into an advocate for herself and others came from School became an advocate for her I used to be so quiet I never could you know stand up in front of any amount of people and talk now I feel like I am a leader I am someone who 10% in class which I never was before I don't feel stupid anymore I feel like a smart capable human being he just opened up a lot of opportunities for everybody someone did you want a club they can do that if someone wants to start a club they can do that they're like no tryouts for sports or after school activities that just creates a really welcoming kind of atmosphere what are the things that found really should have been  about the Quaker aspect of DV friends is it just enables the sense of community that we were told we would find here in that we have found here from The Gatherings that happen in the way that folds new kids like our son into the school the fact that with the dynamic is call your teacher by their first name or when you've got a kid who's trying to get comfortable again with being in school uncomfortable again with learning in the new way even those little things help break down the barriers and help our son engage in Good Company teachers have partnered with me forever college and just like life in general teaching me ways to manage myself like time management how to organize how to study like you can have a good occasional and friendly conversation with them if you really feel supported a TV friends I feel more confident about my learning difference I think about it a lot less I'm not over my auditory processing it's not it's it's out to get me know I don't think about that as much anymore you just learn these cool things that you never thought you wanted to learn but you did and you like it
