Kona, Hawaii, Camping Experience

 

Rustic tent camping meets the wild and adventurous Kona landscape. Students will help to cook their own meals, and take on leadership roles, all while challenging themselves through an active, physically demanding itinerary. We will camp near Volcanoes National Park, and then move closer to the shore. Hike the otherworldly landscapes of Volcanoes National Park and learn firsthand about the geology of island formation. Learn about the fragile coral reef ecosystem while snorkeling in protected waters off the coast. Experience Hawaii surfing led by professional surf instructors.
