Kristen Boone
Kristen joined DVFriends in 2024 and teaches Upper School Social Studies. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education: English from Holy Family University.
Before coming to DVFriends, Kristen taught at Church Farm School in Exton for 11 years, where she served as a history and English teacher as well as the Humanities Department Chair.
Kristen has been deeply involved with the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA) since 2013, participating in numerous professional development seminars and book groups. Through NCTA, she traveled to Japan in 2016 as part of a Boston University program focused on education and cultural exchange. Most recently, in 2024, she traveled to Ghana with the Witness Tree Institute of Ghana, engaging in an educational program centered on peace, reconciliation, and cultural immersion.
Outside of teaching, Kristen enjoys reading and exploring new perspectives through literature and travel.
