Meg Shea

Meg is an Upper School Science Teacher at DVFriends, joining the community in 2024. She holds a B.A. in Biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and completed graduate studies in Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Meg brings extensive experience as a science educator across several schools, including Plymouth Meeting Friends School in Pennsylvania; Washoe County School District in Nevada; Hammondsport Central School District and Alfred-Almond Central School District in New York. She has also served as a Crew Leader with AmeriCorps and Northwest Youth Corps and worked as a Research Assistant with St. Mary’s College of Maryland and the National Science Foundation.

In her free time, Meg enjoys spending time outdoors with family, friends, and her pets.
