Amanda Chang

Amanda Chang is the Upper School Dean of Students and an Integrated Science Teacher. She joined DVFriends in 2019–2020. Amanda holds a B.S. in Biology and Psychology from the University of Richmond. Before DVFriends, she worked as a Forensic DNA Analyst with both the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, and also served as an After School STEM Teacher at Positive Tomorrows. At DVFriends, she has taught Chemistry, Forensic Science, and Health.

Outside the classroom, Amanda enjoys fitness—she works out before school at Burn Boot Camp and also hosts the Weightlifting Club. She has completed professional development through the NAIS workshop Affirming Transgender Students (2023).
