Toni Bushnell

Toni Bushnell is a Lead Lower School Teacher and the Lower School DEIB Coordinator at DVFriends, where she has been teaching since 2018. She earned her degree from Drexel University and brings extensive experience from the School District of Philadelphia, Stratford Friends School—where she served as both Lead Teacher and Director of Summer School—and her work as a tutor for the Haverford School District and private students. Toni is certified in Scottish Rite Hospital’s Take Flight program and the DuBard School Association Method, and she is trained in Responsive Classroom.
 
A member of Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting, Toni is an active Quaker and has been a presenter and panel participant for the Pennsylvania Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (PBIDA) for 20 years.
Toni also taught English at the Cloud Forest School (Creativa) in Costa Rica before joining DVFS, an experience that continues to shape her global perspective as an educator.
