Emily Pensabene

Emily joined DVFriends full-time in 2020 after first working with the school’s summer program in 2018. She serves as a Middle School Language Arts Teacher and the Middle School Activities Coordinator. Emily holds both a B.A. in Secondary Education and English and an M.A. in General Education from Albright College.

Before coming to DVFriends, she taught at The Preparatory Charter School of Mathematics, Science, Tech & Careers in South Philadelphia.

Outside of school, Emily plays rugby for the Northeast Philadelphia Rugby Club. She is also a Certified Academic Language Practitioner through ALTA.
