Galapagos Experience

 

This will be the second year that the Galapagos Experience is part of the ABLE Program and there is an environmental science component to this course. You can’t go to the Galapagos without talking about environmental science. After spending the first night in Quito, Ecuador, the group will fly to Santa Cruz. Over the next four days, there will be time to visit Highlands to see Giant Tortoises in their natural habitat, explore lava tunnels, boat to San Cristobal, see a sea lion colony, snorkel, and visit the interpretation center. On day six, the group will fly back to Quito and continue on to Newark, arriving on the morning of day seven. Accommodations will be basic rooms with 3 to 4 students per room. For many, this is a trip of a lifetime.
